This year the USA Mountain Running Championships return to Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway, NH for the 26th Annual Cranmore Hill Climb on July 21st.  The race will also serve as the NACAC Mountain Running Championships with team from the US, Canada and Mexico competing for the NACAC title for 2013.

This will serve as the sole qualifying race for the 2013 US Mountain Running Team that will compete in Krynica Zdrój, Poland on September 8th.  The top 6 US Men (USATF Members and US Citizens) and top 4 women (USATF Members and US Citizens) at Cranmore will make the team.  This year’s course will be unique in that it will be a Down-Up multi-lap race instead of the traditional up/down multi-lap race.  This is to mirror the course in Poland that will also be a down/up format.  Please note, the final course profile in Poland we understand will be closer to 245 meters descent/gain per lap rather than the current 219 meters per lap listed on the race website.

If you are an elite athlete looking to make the team, we do have a limited number of complimentary entries and homestays with local families available for the Cranmore race.  For more information, please contact Race Director Paul Kirsch at pkirsch2@gmail.com.
