In a race that she called one of the toughest of her career, Megan Lund, a member of the 2009 & 2010 US Mountain Running Team, had the highest US women’s finish ever at the 2010 Jungfrau Marathon in Interlaken, Switzerland this past Saturday.   Lund finished 4th overall, 2 minutes 4 seconds behind winner Simona Staicu of Hungary in this very challenging Mountain Marathon.  This follows up on her 21st place finish the week before at the World Mountain Running Championships in Kamnik, Slovenia.

Megan has had a very strong year, qualifying for the 2012 US Olympic Marathon Trials and also winning the Course de Sierre-Zinal in Switzerland.
