Max King wins 50km Trail Champs, then wins XTERRA Champs the next day
2011 World Mountain Running Champion, Max King, of Bend, OR, added two more titles to his incredible year, with back to back wins at the USA Trail 50km Championships in Bend, Oregon on Saturday, followed by a win at the XTERRA National Championships on Sunday in Ogden, Utah. The races started exactly 24 hours apart, with Bend getting on a plane to Salt Lake City, UT at 2PM on Saturday.
At the XTERRA race, King bested a field of top national and international runners with a time of 1:17:59 on the 21km mountain course in Ogden, UT.
